At The Tuition College Examination Centre, we follow the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) regulations to ensure every candidate is treated fairly and has equal access to assessment.
These arrangements are not designed to give an advantage, but to remove barriers so that all learners can perform to the best of their ability.
What Access Arrangements Mean
Access Arrangements can include:
- Extra time in written exams
- Rest breaks or supervised rest periods
- Use of a word processor or laptop
- Separate or smaller room arrangements
- A reader or scribe (where approved and evidence supports this need)
Each arrangement must be supported by appropriate evidence and formally approved by JCQ before the exam entry is made.
