About Us
The Tuition College is a trusted and well-established learning and examination centre at the heart of Longsight, Manchester. For more than 35 years, we’ve been helping students of all ages build confidence, achieve results, and develop a lifelong love for learning.
Our centre has grown from humble beginnings into a respected name in education, trusted by hundreds of families across Greater Manchester. What makes us different is our classroom-based approach — every lesson is led by a qualified teacher who brings their subject to life through structured teaching, discussion, and guided practice. We don’t rely on worksheets or quick fixes; we focus on genuine understanding, long-term progress, and the joy of learning.
From Year 4 pupils preparing for the 11 Plus, to students working towards their GCSEs and A Levels, to adults returning to education, we tailor our teaching to meet each learner’s needs. Our small class sizes, warm atmosphere, and high expectations create a space where every student feels valued and motivated to achieve their best.
As a JCQ-approved Examination Centre, we also provide a professional and supportive setting for private candidates across the region. Many of our students return to us year after year, and over 90% of our new learners come through recommendations and word of mouth — a reflection of the trust we’ve earned through consistency, care, and results.

While I’m proud of our outstanding 11 Plus and GCSE results, our ambition goes far beyond exams. We want to help shape confident, respectful, and motivated young people who are prepared for life, not just for tests.
